TrackReels Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Effective date: 1 August 2026
These Terms are a contract between you and the operator of TrackReels. Please read them. If you are under 18, read them with a parent or guardian, because they have to agree to them too (see sections 3 and 4).
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
1.1 TrackReels ("TrackReels", "we", "us", "our") is operated by the independent operator of TrackReels, from the United Kingdom. Postal address for legal or formal notices: available on request from support@trackreels.io.
1.2 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at trackreels.io, any subdomains, and all related features (together, the "Service").
1.3 Our Privacy Policy at https://trackreels.io/privacy explains what personal data we collect and why. It forms part of these Terms.
1.4 By creating an account, uploading a reel, sending a message, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.5 We are a UK based operator and most of our users are in the United States. Section 26 explains how that works, and it matters, so please read it.
2. Definitions
- Athlete: a user who creates an athlete profile, whether high school, college, club, post collegiate or professional.
- Recruiter: a user who registers as a college coach, recruiting coordinator, or other recruiting staff member.
- Parent: a parent or legal guardian of an athlete under 18.
- Reel: a video of a race, jump, throw or training effort, either uploaded to TrackReels or embedded from a third party platform, together with its required metadata (date, event, mark or time, caption) and optional metadata (meet name, placement, wind).
- Your Content: anything you upload, post, embed, submit or send through the Service, including reels, profile text, photos, marks, messages and support tickets.
- Mark: a performance result, such as a time, distance or height.
3. Eligibility and age
3.1 Under 13 is not permitted. You may not create an account, submit any content, or provide any personal information to TrackReels if you are under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will delete the account and its content promptly.
3.2 Ages 13 to 17. You may use the Service only if a parent or guardian has given verifiable consent through the process in section 4. Until that consent is completed, the account stays in a restricted state described in 4.4.
3.3 18 and over. You may register on your own behalf.
3.4 Recruiters. You must be 18 or over and must be a current employee, contractor or authorised volunteer of the institution or club you say you represent. You must register using an institutional email address where one exists.
3.5 You must not use the Service if you have previously been removed from it, or if applicable law bars you from using it.
3.6 We may ask you at any time for reasonable proof of age, identity, or coaching role, and may restrict or suspend an account until you provide it.
4. Parent and guardian consent for athletes aged 13 to 17
4.1 How consent is obtained. During sign up, an athlete who states a birth date showing they are 13 to 17 must give the name and email address of a parent or guardian. We then email that parent a unique, single use consent link. To complete consent, the parent must:
(a) open the consent link and confirm the athlete's name, birth date and graduation year;
(b) enter the parent's own full legal name and confirm they are the athlete's parent or legal guardian;
(c) read the summary of what the athlete's profile will show publicly;
(d) tick each consent statement in 4.2 separately;
(e) submit the form, which we record with a timestamp, the IP address used, and the email address the link was sent to; and
(f) complete one additional verification step from those we offer at the time, which currently is a one time card authorisation of a small amount that is immediately voided and never charged, processed by our payment provider, or a signed consent form returned to support@trackreels.io from the parent's email address. We may add or change verification methods to keep them consistent with COPPA guidance.
4.2 What the parent is agreeing to. By completing consent, the parent confirms that they:
(a) have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy on behalf of themselves and the athlete, and are bound by them;
(b) consent to the athlete creating a public profile at trackreels.io/username that displays the athlete's name, graduation year, US state, events, optional height and weight, bio, reels, marks and leaderboard position, and that this profile is visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines;
(c) consent to the athlete uploading video of themselves and to that video being shown publicly on TrackReels;
(d) consent to the athlete exchanging direct messages with verified recruiters through the Service, and understand that they may request that messaging be disabled at any time;
(e) consent to the collection and use of the athlete's personal data as described in the Privacy Policy;
(f) accept financial responsibility for any paid subscription started on the athlete's account; and
(g) understand that they may review the athlete's information, request a copy of it, ask us to delete it, revoke consent, or close the account at any time by emailing support@trackreels.io from the email address on file.
4.3 Separate consent for promotion. Consent to a public profile is not consent for us to repost the athlete's reels on TrackReels' own social media accounts. That requires the separate opt in described in section 9.
4.4 Before consent is completed. An unconsented 13 to 17 account is restricted: the profile is not publicly visible, it does not appear in leaderboards or search, reels cannot be published, and messaging is off. If consent is not completed within 14 days, we may delete the account and any content submitted with it.
4.5 Revoking consent. A parent may revoke consent at any time. On revocation we will close the account and remove the athlete's profile and reels from public view, subject to section 8.6 (content already shared publicly) and section 20.
4.6 Who may operate the account. For an athlete under 18, either the athlete or their parent may operate the account. Both are responsible for what happens on it. Coaches, agents, or third party recruiting services may not operate an athlete's account unless the athlete (and, for a minor, the parent) has authorised them in writing to us, and they must identify themselves as such in the profile.
5. Your account
5.1 One account per athlete. Each athlete may hold one account. Duplicate, backup or alternate athlete accounts are not allowed and may all be suspended. If you genuinely need to merge two accounts, contact support@trackreels.io.
5.2 A recruiter may hold one personal account. Do not share a single recruiter login across a coaching staff. Each coach needs their own account so that messaging records are accurate.
5.3 You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately at support@trackreels.io if you think someone else has access.
5.4 Everything you tell us at sign up must be true: your name, birth date, graduation year, state, events, and, for recruiters, your institution and role. Registering with someone else's identity is impersonation and is covered by section 12.
5.5 You may not sell, rent, transfer or lend your account. Profiles, usernames and badges have no cash value and are not property.
5.6 We may require re-verification of a recruiter account each academic year.
6. Usernames and reserved names
6.1 Your username forms your public URL, trackreels.io/username. Choose it carefully. Usernames cannot currently be changed after sign up. If we add username changes later, the old URL is released and may be taken by someone else.
6.2 Usernames must not:
(a) impersonate another person, athlete, coach, team, school, meet, brand or organization;
(b) contain slurs, sexual terms, or abusive language;
(c) suggest an official status you do not have, for example a school, governing body, TrackReels staff, or a "verified" or "official" label;
(d) be created in bulk, by automated means, or for resale or squatting; or
(e) include contact details, URLs, or promotional text.
6.3 Reserved names. We reserve usernames including but not limited to: trackreels and variations, admin, support, help, staff, moderator, official, verified, api, login, signup, settings, leaderboard, terms, privacy, dmca, security, blog, press, and names of schools, governing bodies, championship meets and well known athletes. We may reclaim any username that breaches these rules, is dormant, or is needed for the operation of the Service. If we reclaim your username we will tell you and let you pick another.
7. Public profiles and what is visible
7.1 An athlete profile is public by default once it is active. Anyone with the link can see the athlete's name, graduation year, state, events, bio, height and weight if provided, reels, marks and any leaderboard placements or badges.
7.2 Search engines may index public profiles, and other sites may link to them. We cannot control or remove third party copies, caches or screenshots.
7.3 You control what optional detail you add. Do not publish your home address, school timetable, phone number, or anything else that would let a stranger find you offline. See section 13.
7.4 Athletes can delete a profile at any time from Settings, which removes the public page, its reels and its leaderboard entries. There is no separate hide switch: to take a profile out of public view without closing the account, email support@trackreels.io and we will do it by hand. Neither undoes copies already made elsewhere.
8. Your content and the license you give us
8.1 You own your reels. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership. As between you and us, you keep all rights in Your Content.
8.2 The license you give us. You grant TrackReels a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free, sublicensable and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, encode, transcode, resize, reformat, excerpt, display, perform, distribute and publicly show Your Content, and to create thumbnails, clips and preview stills from it, for the purposes of:
(a) operating and displaying the Service, including your profile, search, and leaderboards;
(b) providing your content to recruiters and other users through the Service; and
(c) promoting the Service, on the terms and limits in section 9.
8.3 You confirm that you have the rights you need to grant this license, that you own or have permission to use the footage, and that everyone identifiable in it has agreed to it being posted (for minors other than yourself, that means their parent has agreed).
8.4 We do not sell your reels, and we do not license them to third parties as standalone media, other than to the technical providers who help us run the Service (hosting, storage, video delivery, moderation) and as described in section 9.
8.5 We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we do not permit others to. We use third party AI models only to classify content for safety and moderation as described in section 19.
8.6 Content already shared publicly. The license in 8.2 ends when you delete the content or your account, except that:
(a) it continues for any copy that has already been published outside the Service under section 9 (for example a highlight already posted to a TrackReels social account), for as long as that copy exists on that platform. If you ask us to, we will make reasonable efforts to remove or restrict such a copy where the platform allows it, and we will always do so for a minor at a parent's request;
(b) it continues for backups, logs and caches until they expire in the normal course, normally within 30 days;
(c) it continues where another user has already saved or embedded the content elsewhere, which is outside our control; and
(d) it continues to the extent we must keep a copy to comply with law, resolve a dispute, or enforce these Terms.
8.7 Feedback. If you send us suggestions about the Service, we may use them without obligation to you.
8.8 We are not obliged to store, back up or keep Your Content, and we are not a backup service. Keep your own copies of your videos.
9. Promotion of highlights on TrackReels social accounts
9.1 Some paid plans include a feature where we may repost an athlete's highlight to TrackReels' own social media accounts, for example on Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube.
9.2 This is opt in. We will not post your reel to a TrackReels social account unless you have switched the feature on in settings. For an athlete under 18, the athlete's parent must give the separate consent in 4.3, and the parent can withdraw it at any time.
9.3 When we repost a highlight we may add TrackReels branding, captions, your name, event, mark, graduation year, state, and a link to your profile. We may trim, crop, add music or overlays, and adapt the format for each platform. We will not materially alter the mark shown or imply a result you did not achieve.
9.4 Turning the feature on does not oblige us to post anything, and we may remove a post at any time.
9.5 Once a highlight is posted to a third party platform, that platform's terms apply to it as well, and other users of that platform may be able to save, share or duplicate it. If you ask us to take a post down, we will remove it from accounts we control, normally within 5 business days, but we cannot recall copies others have made.
9.6 We do not pay athletes for reposts, and reposting is not a sponsorship, endorsement or NIL deal.
10. Accuracy of marks, verification and badges
10.1 Every mark must be true. When you add a reel you must enter the date, event and mark accurately, and any optional meet name, placement and wind reading accurately. Do not:
(a) post a mark you did not achieve;
(b) post someone else's performance as your own;
(c) mislabel a hand time as fully automatic timing, or hide that a mark was hand timed, wind aided, short course, altitude assisted, from a non standard implement or weight, or from an unofficial or time trial setting;
(d) alter video speed, distance markers or on screen clocks; or
(e) re-date an old performance to make it look current.
10.2 How verification works. We may check any mark. Checks may include comparing your entry against published results (for example meet results pages, timing company results, state association or governing body databases), reviewing the video, asking you for the meet result link or a timing sheet, or contacting the meet organizer. Verified Premium accounts get a defined level of checking on marks submitted as verified, as described on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
10.3 What a verification badge means, and does not mean. A badge means that at the time of checking, the mark matched a source we considered credible, or the video was consistent with the claim. It is not a certification of the result, it does not make the mark official for any governing body, and it does not replace official results. We may remove a badge at any time, including if a source is later corrected.
10.4 Consequences of false marks. Falsifying a mark or its conditions is a serious breach. Depending on severity we may correct or remove the mark, remove badges, remove you from leaderboards, suspend the account, terminate the account, and where a recruiter has been misled, tell that recruiter that a mark was corrected or removed. Repeated or deliberate falsification will normally lead to permanent termination without refund.
10.5 If you spot a mark you believe is false, report it through the in product report tool or email support@trackreels.io with the profile link and your reasons.
11. Leaderboards, rankings and badges
11.1 Leaderboards rank athletes by best legal mark within the categories we define, and are generated from data users submit. They are provided for interest and discovery only.
11.2 Leaderboard positions and badges such as "TR US #1" are TrackReels' own labels. They are not national records, official rankings, or statements by any governing body, and no governing body endorses them.
11.3 We decide what counts as a legal mark for leaderboard purposes, for example how we treat wind aided, hand timed, indoor, altitude and non standard implement marks, and we publish those rules in our help pages. We may change the rules, recalculate rankings, and correct or remove entries at any time.
11.4 Rankings depend on who has chosen to upload marks to TrackReels. They do not reflect every athlete in the country.
12. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to do any of the following, and not to help anyone else do it.
12.1 Harassment and abuse. No bullying, threats, stalking, targeted insults, coordinated pile ons, or repeated unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop or has blocked you.
12.2 Sexual content and nudity. No sexual content of any kind. No nudity or sexually suggestive imagery. No sexual comments about any user. Absolutely no sexual content involving a minor, and no content that sexualises a minor, including comments on an athlete's body, clothing or physique. Uniform appropriate athletic clothing in competition footage is fine; content that focuses on a person's body rather than the performance is not.
12.3 Violence. No threats of violence, glorification of violence, or violent or graphic content. Injury footage that is gratuitous or distressing is not allowed.
12.4 Doxxing and privacy. Do not post another person's home address, phone number, school schedule, personal email, family details, location in real time, or any other private information, and do not ask another user for a minor's private contact details.
12.5 Impersonation. Do not pretend to be another athlete, a coach, a school, a brand, a meet, a governing body, or TrackReels staff. Do not run a profile for someone else without the authorisation in 4.6.
12.6 Hate speech and discrimination. No content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease.
12.7 Spam and commercial misuse. No unsolicited advertising, chain messages, referral spam, fake engagement, mass identical messages, recruiting service solicitations, or pay to play offers directed at athletes.
12.8 Scraping and data misuse. Do not use bots, crawlers, scripts or automated tools to access, copy or index the Service beyond what our robots.txt permits. Do not bulk collect athlete data, build or sell a competing recruiting database from our data, use our data to train machine learning models, or reverse engineer, probe or interfere with the Service or its security. Do not resell or redistribute athlete contact details.
12.9 Fraud. No false marks (section 10), no fake accounts, no payment fraud, no chargeback abuse, no circumventing suspension.
12.10 Illegal, harmful and other misuse. No content that is unlawful, that infringes anyone's rights, that promotes self harm, eating disorders, doping or performance enhancing drugs, or that promotes gambling on youth sport. No uploading malware. No use of the Service to violate anyone's privacy or publicity rights.
13. Protection of minors
13.1 Many TrackReels athletes are minors. Everyone using the Service must behave accordingly.
13.2 Adults must not: ask a minor for private contact details or to move a conversation off platform for private communication; ask for photos or video that are not competition or training footage; comment on a minor's appearance or body; offer money, gifts, gear or opportunities in exchange for private contact; or arrange to meet a minor without their parent's knowledge and involvement.
13.3 Legitimate recruiting contact is expected to be about athletics, sent through the Service or through official channels, and open to being seen by a parent or coach.
13.4 We report apparent child sexual exploitation content to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, and we preserve related records. We may report other credible threats to a minor's safety to law enforcement.
13.5 To report a safety concern, use the in product report tool or email support@trackreels.io with "SAFETY" in the subject. We aim to review safety reports about minors first, ahead of other reports.
13.6 Parents may email support@trackreels.io from the address on file to disable messaging, hide a profile, request a copy of their child's data, or close the account.
14. Recruiters and coaches
14.1 Recruiter accounts are for genuine recruiting and evaluation. By registering as a recruiter you confirm you hold the role you state, and you agree we may verify it with your institution.
14.2 Recruiters must not: use athlete data for anything other than recruiting at the institution they represent; export, sell or share athlete data with third parties; contact athletes for commercial offers, camps, showcases or paid services unrelated to recruiting at their institution; or contact an athlete after that athlete has blocked them or asked them to stop.
14.3 Recruiter misconduct, including any breach of section 13, will lead to suspension or permanent removal, and we may notify the institution the recruiter says they represent.
14.4 Being visible to recruiters on TrackReels does not create any relationship, offer, or commitment between an athlete and any institution.
15. Messaging and recruiting contact rules
15.1 How messaging works. On the free plan, a recruiter must send the first message to an athlete; athletes can reply. Paid plans let athletes start conversations. Athletes and parents can block users and turn messaging off. We may rate limit messages and screen them for safety.
15.2 Messages are not private from us. Messages are not end to end encrypted. We may access, review and retain messages to investigate reports, enforce these Terms, protect minors, or comply with law. Parents of an athlete under 18 may request a copy of their child's messages.
15.3 NCAA and other governing body rules are your responsibility. Recruiting contact is regulated. Rules on when a college coach may contact a prospective student athlete, what may be said, and what counts as a recruiting communication are set by bodies such as the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, state high school associations, and equivalent bodies outside the US. Those rules change often, differ by division, sport and the athlete's year, and include dead periods and quiet periods.
15.4 TrackReels does not guarantee compliance. We do not monitor, enforce, time gate or certify compliance with NCAA rules or any other governing body's rules. We are not a compliance service. You are solely responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you, including eligibility, amateurism, contact windows and recruiting communication rules. Coaches should check with their compliance office; athletes and parents should check with their school, club or state association.
15.5 We are not responsible for any loss of eligibility, penalty, sanction or lost opportunity that results from a communication made through the Service.
15.6 NIL. If we later offer features involving name, image and likeness deals, additional terms will apply. Meanwhile, understand that NIL activity can affect high school and college eligibility, that state laws and school and association rules differ, that many rules restrict NIL for minors, and that a minor's NIL contract usually needs a parent. Get advice before signing anything.
16. Embedded third party video
16.1 You may add reels by embedding links from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. We embed those videos using each platform's official player. We do not download, copy or store the video file.
16.2 The video stays on the third party platform. If you delete it there, make it private, or the platform removes it, the embed on your TrackReels profile will stop working. We are not responsible for that.
16.3 Those platforms' terms and privacy policies also apply to you when you use their embeds, and their players may set cookies or collect data about viewers according to their own policies, which we do not control.
16.4 You must have the right to embed the video. Embedding someone else's video as your own performance breaches section 10 and may breach section 18.
16.5 We may disable an embed that breaches these Terms, does not load, or is not what it claims to be.
17. Subscriptions, free trial, billing and refunds
17.1 Plans and prices. The free plan costs $0. The paid plans for athletes are Premium and Verified Premium. The paid plan for coaches and recruiters is Recruiter Pro. Discover Boost is a one off purchase rather than a subscription. The current price of every plan is shown on the pricing page at trackreels.io/pricing, and the exact amount is shown again on the payment page before you confirm. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax, VAT or similar tax, which will be added where required and shown before you pay. The features of each plan are described on the pricing page and may change (see 17.10).
17.1a Verified Premium and the Golden Spikes badge. Verified Premium buys a review of your marks by a moderator, and priority in that queue. It does not buy the badge. The badge is awarded only if your marks can be confirmed against the results you provide. If we cannot verify them, we will move you to Premium and refund the difference for the period concerned. We do it this way because coaches rely on that badge, and a badge that can simply be bought is worth nothing to them or to you.
17.1b Discover Boost. Boost places your profile at the top of Discover for the number of days purchased, clearly labeled as paid placement. Boost never changes a leaderboard position, a rank or a badge. It is a single purchase, delivered immediately, and is not refundable once it has started, except where the law requires it or where it failed to run.
17.1c Recruiter Pro. Recruiter Pro is available to coach and recruiter accounts that have verified an institutional email. It adds an unlimited shortlist, CSV export, search by performance standard, and alerts when a shortlisted athlete posts a new mark.
17.2 Payment provider. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC or expiry date. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.
17.3 Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a one week (7 day) free trial. One trial per person and per account. We may ask for a payment method up front. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically into a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the plan price. We will send a reminder before the trial ends where required by law. Abuse of trials, for example creating extra accounts to repeat trials, may lead to suspension.
17.4 Auto renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the same day of the month until canceled, and your payment method is charged the then current price plus tax. You can cancel at any time in Settings, Billing, with no phone call and no email required.
17.5 Cancellation. Canceling stops the next renewal. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account reverts to the free plan. Your profile and reels are not deleted by canceling.
17.6 Refunds. Because subscriptions are billed monthly and cancellable at any time, we do not generally give refunds for part used months. We will refund where the law requires it, and we may refund at our discretion if the Service was unavailable for a long period, if you were charged in error, or if you were charged after a valid cancellation. To ask for a refund, email support@trackreels.io within 30 days of the charge.
17.7 UK and EU statutory cancellation right. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of entering it, without giving a reason. To use it, tell us at support@trackreels.io within 14 days. If you asked us to start the subscription immediately, we may charge you a proportionate amount for the days you had access, and if you expressly agreed to immediate access and acknowledged the loss of the right, the 14 day right may not apply to digital content already supplied. This right is in addition to your other legal rights and nothing here limits them.
17.8 California and other US state auto renewal rules. Where state law requires, you will see the renewal terms clearly before you subscribe, you will receive an acknowledgement with cancellation instructions, and you may cancel online at any time. Nothing in these Terms waives rights you cannot waive under your state's law.
17.9 Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry, downgrade the account to the free plan, or suspend paid features. You are responsible for any bank or card fees.
17.10 Price and plan changes. We may change prices and plan contents. For existing subscribers we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change applies from your next renewal after the notice period. If you do not accept it, cancel before that renewal.
17.11 Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may suspend the account while the dispute is resolved.
18. Copyright complaints, DMCA notices and counter notices
18.1 We respect copyright and expect users to do the same. Do not upload or embed footage you do not have the right to use. Meet footage is often owned by the videographer, the meet, or a broadcaster.
18.2 Sending a notice. If you believe content on TrackReels infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent: TrackReels Copyright Agent
Email: support@trackreels.io
Post: postal address on request from support@trackreels.io
Your notice must include:
(a) your physical or electronic signature;
(b) identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
(c) identification of the material you say is infringing, with the URL, for example trackreels.io/username and the specific reel;
(d) your name, address, telephone number and email address;
(e) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
(f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
18.3 What we do. On receipt of a compliant notice we will remove or disable access to the material, normally within 5 business days, tell the user who posted it, and pass them a copy of the notice including your contact details.
18.4 Counter notice. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice to the agent above containing:
(a) your physical or electronic signature;
(b) identification of the removed material and where it appeared;
(c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
(d) your name, address and telephone number; and
(e) a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the district where you live, or if you are outside the US, of the courts where TrackReels may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.
If we receive a valid counter notice we will send it to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.
18.5 False claims. Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. section 512(f).
18.6 Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
18.7 Other rights. For complaints about trademarks, personality or publicity rights, or non US copyright, email support@trackreels.io with the same level of detail.
19. Moderation, automated tools, suspension and termination
19.1 We may review, moderate, edit, restrict, remove or refuse any content, and suspend or terminate any account, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where content risks harm (especially to a minor), or where we must act for legal reasons.
19.2 Automated tools. We use automated systems, including machine learning models running on Cloudflare Workers AI, to help classify text and imagery for safety, for example to flag likely harassment, sexual content, hate speech or spam, and to help detect video that does not match the claimed event. Automated systems make mistakes. Where a decision has a significant effect on you, you can ask for a human to look at it under 19.5.
19.3 We are not obliged to monitor content, and we do not pre screen everything. Content on the Service is not endorsed by us.
19.4 Levels of action. Depending on severity we may: remove a reel, correct or remove a mark, remove badges or leaderboard placement, limit messaging, hide a profile, suspend an account temporarily, or terminate it permanently. Serious breaches, particularly involving minors' safety, sexual content, or threats, lead to immediate permanent termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
19.5 Appeals. If we remove content or suspend your account we will tell you what rule we applied, unless telling you would be unlawful or unsafe. You may appeal once by emailing support@trackreels.io within 30 days, explaining why you think the decision was wrong. A human will review it and we aim to reply within 10 business days. Our decision on appeal is final.
19.6 Effect of termination. On termination your access ends, your profile is removed from public view, and any paid subscription is canceled. We do not refund the current period where we terminated for breach.
19.7 You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 8.6, 10.4, 18, 22 to 29) survive termination.
20. Deleting your account and what happens to your content
20.1 You can delete your account in Settings. A parent may request deletion for an athlete under 18 by emailing support@trackreels.io.
20.2 On deletion we will, within 30 days: remove your public profile and its URL from the Service; remove your reels hosted with us from public view and delete the underlying video files from storage; remove your marks from leaderboards; and delete or anonymise your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
20.3 The exceptions in 8.6 apply, in particular for highlights already posted to TrackReels social accounts, backups and caches, and anything we must keep by law or to handle a dispute or a safety report.
20.4 Messages you sent to other users may remain visible to those users, and safety and moderation records may be retained.
20.5 Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, so download anything you want to keep first.
21. Service availability and changes
21.1 We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise any level of uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, including free features, at any time.
21.2 If we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, we will give you a pro rata refund for the unused part of the current period or an equivalent plan credit.
21.3 Some parts of the Service may be labeled beta or experimental. They may be unstable and may be removed.
22. No guarantee of recruitment, exposure, scholarships or NIL
22.1 This section is important. TrackReels is a place to publish your performances. It is not a recruiting service, an agent, or a guarantee of anything.
22.2 We do not promise, and nothing on the Service, in our marketing, on a pricing page, or in any badge, ranking or plan name should be read as promising:
(a) that any college coach or recruiter will see your profile, watch your reels, or contact you;
(b) that you will receive an offer, an official or unofficial visit, a roster spot, admission, financial aid, or an athletic scholarship;
(c) any particular number of profile views, messages, or amount of exposure;
(d) that a paid plan will produce more interest than a free one; or
(e) that you will receive any NIL, sponsorship or brand opportunity.
22.3 Paid plans buy features (such as verification checks, the ability to message first, and highlight promotion). They do not buy outcomes, preferential ranking, or influence over coaches. Leaderboard position is determined by marks, never by payment.
22.4 We do not vet, endorse or take responsibility for any recruiter, coach, institution, brand or other user, or anything they say or offer, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with them.
22.5 Recruiting outcomes depend on your performance, academics, eligibility, timing, coaching relationships, and many other factors outside our control.
23. Disclaimers
23.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage.
23.2 We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error free, that data will be accurate, or that defects will be fixed.
23.3 Marks, rankings, badges and verification results are user submitted or derived from third party sources and may be wrong. Do not rely on them for any official purpose.
23.4 If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including in the UK under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and in the US under your state's consumer protection law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
24. Limitation of liability
24.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
24.2 Subject to 24.1, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, athletic scholarships, recruiting opportunities, eligibility, data, or reputation, however caused and under any theory of liability.
24.3 Subject to 24.1, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the Service in any 12 month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 100 US dollars.
24.4 We are not liable for the acts or omissions of other users, including recruiters, or for content that other users post, or for third party platforms whose videos you embed.
24.5 If you are a consumer, this section applies only so far as the law allows, and it does not affect your statutory rights.
25. Indemnity
25.1 If you use the Service in a business or professional capacity, or as an institution, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrackReels, its operator and its personnel against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from: your content; your use of the Service; your breach of these Terms; your infringement of anyone's rights; or your breach of any governing body's rules.
25.2 If you are an individual consumer, you agree to reimburse us for losses we suffer that are caused by your deliberate misuse of the Service or your knowing breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows. We will tell you promptly of any claim and will not settle it without your consent, which you will not unreasonably withhold.
26. Governing law and where disputes are heard
26.1 We operate from the United Kingdom. Most of our users are in the United States. This section deals with that directly.
26.2 Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or the Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
26.3 If you are a consumer, 26.2 does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country or state where you live. A US consumer keeps the protection of their home state's consumer law; a UK or EU consumer keeps the protection of UK or EU consumer law.
26.4 Courts. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes under these Terms. If you are a consumer resident in the United States, you may instead bring proceedings in the courts of the state where you live, and we agree not to object to that court on grounds of forum, and you may also bring a small claim in your local small claims court. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you may bring proceedings in your country of residence.
26.5 US specific commitments. Regardless of 26.2 and 26.4, we comply with the US laws that apply to how we operate the Service for US users, including COPPA and the notice and takedown process in 17 U.S.C. section 512, and we maintain a designated copyright agent as set out in section 18.
26.6 Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction, for example to stop misuse of data or infringement.
27. How we resolve disputes
27.1 Talk to us first. Before starting formal proceedings, email support@trackreels.io with a description of the problem and what you want. We will try to resolve it within 60 days. Most issues are settled this way.
27.2 If we cannot resolve it, either of us may bring proceedings as set out in section 26.
27.3 No class actions where permitted. To the extent allowed by the law that applies to you, disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of a class, consolidated or representative action. If this paragraph is unenforceable where you live, it does not apply to you and the rest of these Terms still stands.
27.4 Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim connected with the Service must be brought within one year of when it arose. Where a longer period is mandatory in your jurisdiction, that longer period applies.
28. Changes to these Terms
28.1 We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
28.2 For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and by a notice on the Service before they take effect. For changes required by law or needed for security, we may act sooner.
28.3 Continuing to use the Service after the notice period means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and, if you have a paid plan, cancel before the change takes effect; we will refund the unused part of your current period.
28.4 For athletes under 18, a material change that broadens how we use a minor's personal data or content will require fresh parental consent under section 4.
29. Other terms
29.1 Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor of our business, and will tell you if we do.
29.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
29.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.
29.4 Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any plan specific terms shown at purchase, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
29.5 Notices. We will contact you at the email address on your account. Keep it current. You contact us at support@trackreels.io.
29.6 No third party rights. Nobody other than you and us has rights under these Terms, except that a parent who has given consent under section 4 may enforce sections 4, 13 and 20 for their child.
29.7 Events outside our control. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at hosting, storage or payment providers.
29.8 Language. These Terms are written in English and English is the governing language.
