A mark reaches a board only if it is legal for its event. On the track that means a fully automatic or converted time with the timing method recorded; in the sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps it also means a wind reading at or under the legal +2.0 meters per second. Wind-aided marks still appear on the athlete's own profile, labeled, because they happened and they won races, but they do not rank.
Each athlete appears once per board, at their best legal mark for that event, sorted. There is no weighting, no editorial selection and no paid placement: rank cannot be bought on this site, at any tier. Field events sort by distance and track events by time, which sounds obvious and is the thing most general sports sites get wrong.
TrackReels is new, so the majority of the 48 boards have no ranked athlete yet. An ordinary high school mark can hold a top position in its event, class year and state right now, and a board with nobody on it is an invitation rather than an embarrassment.
