# Your marks. Where they actually rank.

> A free alternative to MileSplit and Athletic.net. Post reels with verified, wind-legal marks, climb live leaderboards, and get found by college coaches.

Track & Field · HS → NCAA → Pro

Post the race, with the result attached. Every reel carries its time or distance,
the wind, and how it was timed. You show up on the board the moment you post, and coaches
can see the run, jump or throw behind the number.

## Track and field rankings with the race attached

Most results sites will tell you a number. They will not show you the run, and plenty of
them charge you to see where that number ranks. TrackReels does it the other way round: you
post the clip, the mark travels with it, and the ranking is free to everyone. Event, time or
distance, date, wind and timing method are all required at upload, so a coach watching your
reel knows exactly what they are looking at.

## How it works

1. Post your race or attempt as a reel. Event, mark and date are required at upload.
2. Wind-illegal sprint and jump marks are labeled and kept off leaderboards. PRs are detected automatically.
3. You rank instantly. Rankings are best legal marks, sorted. Nothing hidden.
4. Verified college recruiters search by event, class year and state, save athletes to boards, and message them.

## TrackReels vs MileSplit, Athletic.net, MaxPreps and Hudl

- **Athletic.net and MileSplit** are results databases built from meet files: strong data, little athlete-owned video. TrackReels is video-first and athlete-owned, and treats results sites as verification sources.
- **MaxPreps** covers dozens of sports with track as an afterthought. TrackReels is track-native: wind, FAT vs hand timing, indoor vs outdoor seasons, imperial and metric.
- **Hudl** is team film software priced for teams. TrackReels is built for the individual athlete's recruiting profile.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is TrackReels?

TrackReels is where track and field athletes put their races online with the mark attached. Every clip you post carries the event, the time or distance, the date, the wind reading and whether it was hand timed or FAT. Those marks feed live leaderboards, and college coaches can search them and message you.

### Is TrackReels free?

Yes, and the rankings stay free. A free account gets you a public profile, five videos plus one more each month, and full leaderboard ranking. Premium is $6.99 a month if you want unlimited uploads and longer clips at the quality you filmed them. Verified Premium is $9.99 and adds a moderator review of your marks. Both start with a week free.

### How is TrackReels different from MileSplit, Athletic.net or MaxPreps?

Those are results databases. They hold the numbers a meet reported, usually with no video, and most of them charge for the rankings. Here the video is the point: the run sits next to the mark, so a coach can see whether the number is real. Wind-illegal sprints and jumps are labeled and kept off the boards, PRs are worked out automatically, and the ranking is just best legal mark, sorted.

### How do college coaches use TrackReels?

Recruiters get verified accounts, search athletes by event, class year and state, watch race film with the mark attached, save athletes to private recruiting boards and message them.

### Do hand-timed or windy marks count?

Hand-timed and FAT marks are labeled on every race. Timing method is a track-only field, since a throw or a jump is measured with a tape rather than a clock. Sprint, hurdle and horizontal jump marks with a tailwind over +2.0 m/s are labeled windy and excluded from leaderboards, the same standard college coaches apply.

## Free tools, no account needed

Two things every US high school athlete has to do before a college coach can read their
marks: convert them, and check them against a standard. Both are free here and neither asks
you to sign up. Convert a [hand time to FAT](https://trackreels.io/convert/hand-time-to-fat), a
[jump or throw from feet and inches to meters](https://trackreels.io/convert/feet-inches-to-meters), a
[1600m to the mile](https://trackreels.io/convert/1600m-to-mile) or a
[1500m to the mile](https://trackreels.io/convert/1500m-to-mile), then see which division actually
recruits that mark against the [published recruiting standards](https://trackreels.io/standards).
